IONECYBER.COM, Pekanbaru – Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa (BEM) se-Provinsi Riau memperlihatkan komitmen mendukung kondusivitas jelang, saat dan pasca Pemilu 2024 dengan menggelar Deklarasi Pemilu Damai.
Acara digelar di Lantai 2 Hotel Grand Central, Jl. Jenderal Sudirman, Kota Pekanbaru, 12 Februari 2024.
Kegiatan tersebut menjadi wadah bagi pengurus BEM Riau dan mahasiswa se Provinsi Riau untuk bersama-sama menyuarakan pentingnya keamanan dan kedamaian dalam proses demokrasi.
Korpus BEM se-Riau, Alfikri Habibullah menekankan pentingnya komitmen bersama dalam mendukung Pemilu 2024 yang aman dan damai. Dengan menggelar deklarasi ini, BEM dan mahasiswa se-Riau berupaya menunjukkan sikapnya untuk menolak segala bentuk perpecahan dan menjaga keutuhan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI).
“Mari bersama-sama kita saling menjaga untuk tidak terpecah belahnya bangsa kita ini. Walaupun banyaknya faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan perpecahan ini timbul,” ucapnya.
Deklarasi Pemilu Damai yang digelar oleh BEM se-Riau tidak hanya menjadi momentum bagi mahasiswa, tetapi juga ajakan kepada seluruh masyarakat untuk turut serta dalam menjaga suasana damai dalam pelaksanaan Pemilu 2024.
Komitmen bersama ini diharapkan mampu menciptakan proses demokrasi yang berintegritas dan menghasilkan pemimpin yang dipilih secara adil dan transparan.
DEKLARASI PEMILU DAMAI
1. Berkomitmen untuk menjaga dan mengawal proses demokrasi, sesuai tahapan Pemilu 2024 agar berjalan dengan aman, damai, jujur, adil dan bermartabat.
2. Mengajak semua komponen bangsa untuk berpartisipasi aktif mendukung dan menyukseskan pelaksanaan Pemilu 2024.
3. Mengajak seluruh elemen masyarakat dan mahasiswa Provinsi Riau yang memiliki hak pilih untuk menggunakan haknya dengan penuh tanggung jawab.
4. Mengajak semua pihak untuk ikut aktif melakukan pemantauan dan pengawasan terhadap setiap tahapan pelaksanaan Pemilu agar berjalan sesuai aturan, berlangsung secara aman, damai, jujur, adil dan bermartabat.
5. Menolak segala bentuk upaya provokasi, penyebaran berita hoax dan ujaran kebencian serta berkomitmen untuk tidak ikut serta dalam penyebaran berita hoax yang dapat mengganggu jalannya Pemilu 2024.
6. Mendesak seluruh komponen bangsa baik Pemerintah, peserta Pemilu maupun masyarakat untuk menerima hasil Pemilu yang telah dilaksanakan dengan netral, jujur, adil dan bermartabat.
7. Mendesak seluruh tokoh akademisi di Provinsi Riau untuk tidak melakukan politik praktis, dan tidak menjadikan kampus sebagai wadah untuk melakukan kegiatan politik praktis saat dan pasca pemilu 2024.**
